If you have lost your teeth due to an accident or gum disease, we recommend complete dentures, also known as "full dentures", "full plate," or "false teeth". They work as artificial replacements for your teeth and can help you smile again with the same confidence.
Wasaga Beach Denture Clinic has been working in the dental services field for around 30 years and has a good understanding of the needs of our customers. Make sure you reach out to us if you want to get complete dentures in Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Elmvale, Creemore, Stayner, and the surrounding areas.
False teeth serve as a substitute for your real teeth and gums. A mould of your teeth is used to create complete dentures customized to your specifications.
There are two types of dentures in this category:
Immediate dentures: They are suggested when your natural teeth need extraction.
Standard dentures: These are recommended when you have dentures and need to replace them due to breakage, wear or dissatisfaction.
When you get full dentures, there are a few things that you should try to avoid. Here is a list of those:
Abrasive cleaning materials
Avoid brushes with stiff bristles, powerful cleaners, and harsh toothpaste as they are abrasive and can harm your dentures.
Peroxide is commonly used in toothpaste and is marketed as a whitening paste. However, we suggest patients brush their teeth with a denture-specific toothbrush and low-abrasion toothpaste.
Harsh cleaning products
Bleaching products can weaken dentures and modify their colour, so avoid them. Do not soak dentures with metal attachments in chlorine-containing solutions because the metal will tarnish and corrode.
Avoid using hot water, as this can cause your dentures to warp.
